Chandra Bahadur Dangi is the world's shortest man, hitting the tape at 21 1/2 inches. He is 72 years old and eats mostly rice and vegetables and occasionally small portions of meat. Living just 250 miles west of Katmandu, Nepal, he has never had contact with anyone outside of his small village until now. A visitor to the village saw him and Guinness Book of Records investigated the claims.
He is a handsome fellow, single, with a regular sized head and a small body and works inside of his family house doing chores and seldom goes outside because of his height. He has never been sick and has never seen a doctor until recently when he was given a clean bill of health.
He is happy and looks forward to traveling now that he has been officially recognized by Guinness Book of Records.
