Ever since RL issued his now famous tirade against Sandra Fluke, A Georgetown law student, calling her a slut and a prostitute, there has been a huge uproar by the media, women's groups and democratic women members of Congress. There has been a clamour to prosecute him for slander, for the sponsors to withdraw their advertising and for Clear Channel, the operators of the radio station he works for, to take him off the air.
There have been numerous comments made by members of the media including Chris Matthews and Bill Maher, as to why Mitt Romney didn't grab this opportunity to speak up for women and against Rush Limbaugh. They both thought it was the perfect opportunity for Romney to move away from the vitriolic comments that have been made during this campaign.
What has not been brought forward is who owns Clear Channel and is ultimately Rush Limbaugh's boss. Bain Capital owns Clear Channel. Mitt Romney ran Bain Capital and has a major financial stake in it. Enough said.
By the way, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck also work for stations owned by Clear Channel.
