A  Qatari Diplomat caused an alarm on a flight to Denver resulting in the plane having to be escorted by fighter planes.  This fellow was allegedly smoking in the men's room and later joked about a shoe bomb.

Instead of admonishing him and recalling him to Qatar, his embassy said he was on a mission and did nothing threatening.  The ambassador from his country said that this was an overreaction and that concerned parties should avoid reckless judgments or speculation.  I think the Ambassador should be admonished for taking this too lightly and disregarding the immature behavior of his Diplomat.

Who is going to foot the bill for the scrambling of the fighter jets, for the airline's expenses and it's employee's inconveniences, and the inconvenience and delays of the passengers on the plane?
